Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out whether or not there was any
effect of the use of
hangaroo
game in teaching English vocabulary of students
especially of seventh graders
. This research was conducted in one of the junior
high school in
Majenang
in academic year 201
5 / 2016. The participants of this
rese
arch were the seventh graders in one of junior high school in
Majenang
. There
were two classes of which class
C
was used as a experimental class and class
F
was used as the control class. The test was used in collecting the d
ata of this
research, namely pre
-test and post
-test. The test consisted of multiple choice items
and matching items
. Based on the computation, t
-test result was 2.
01 and the
result of r
-table at the significant level 0.05 with the degree of freedom 58 was
1.6715. the calculation of obtained was higher than t
-table (2.
01 > 1.6715). Based
on the research result, it showed that
Hangaroo
Game was effective for teaching
English vocabulary of students in SMP N
3 Majenang in academic year 2015 /
2016.
