Abstract
This research is motivated by the low attitude of mutual cooperation and
learning achievement on fraction material. The purpose of this study was to
determine the use of guided discovery model in increasing mutual cooperation
attitude and learning achievement on fraction material in class IV. This study used
classroom action research. The subjects of this study were fourth grade students in
the even semester of the 2023/2024 academic year, with a total of 21 students. The
instruments of this study used test instruments, observation, and documentation.
The results of this study indicate that students' mutual cooperation attitude always
increases from cycle I with a percentage of completeness of 73.9% with good
criteria, cycle II shows a percentage of completeness of 81.5% with very good
criteria. While students' learning achievement showed an increase with students
who completed had an average of 64.5 with 50% learning completeness in cycle I
and increased in cycle II with an average of 77.14 with 88.83% learning
completeness. The research findings in this study are that when students work on
LKPD, many students call and approach the teacher to ask how to compare
fractions with large numbers, when the teacher distributes LKPD to each group,
many students ask questions and make the class noisy, when the teacher goes
around to each table to see the process of work, there are still groups whose work
is not in accordance with the instructions given so that the teacher asks to re-correct
the work. Based on data analysis, research results, and discussion, it can be
concluded that the application of guided discovery learning model can improve
mutual cooperation attitude and mathematics learning achievement of class IV SD
Negeri 2 Tambaksogra Banyumas.
