This study aims to investigate whether or not there was a correlation between the frequency of watching English movies and vocabulary mastery in the English language education study program at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. This study used a descriptive method. The sample was 40 students selected by using a purposive sampling technique In collecting the data, a questionnaire was used to obtain information regardingthe frequency of students’ watching movie and vocabulary tests. The results of this study indicated a significant relationship between the frequency of watching movies in English and the students' vocabulary mastery. It can be seen from the value of r-table where the value of r-test (0.087) was lower than r-table (0.312). It can be concluded that there was a correlation between the frequency of watching movies in English and the students' vocabulary mastery.
