This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of communication and
personality on midwife performance and to determine whether job satisfaction is
able to mediate communication and personality on midwife performance of IBI
Ranting Sokaraja. The population in this study were all midwife of IBI Ranting
Sokaraja. The sample used in this study were 103 of 200 midwife using the
accidental sampling technique. For statistical tests and data processing is carried
out using the Partial Least Square (SmartPLS) method. The research results show
that: communication has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction,
personality has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, communication
has a positive and significant effect on midwife performance, personality has a
positive and significant effect on midwife performance, Job satisfaction has a
positive and significant effect on midwife performance, Job satisfaction is able to
mediate the influence of communication on midwife performance, Job satisfaction
is able to mediate communication to midwife performance. The test results of the
coefficient of determination (R2) which show that the effect of communication,
personality, job satisfaction on midwife performance is 65,4.%.
