Abstract
This study aims to determine students’ perceptions of the use of English songs in improving skills and vocabulary mastery. This quantitative descriptive study involved 69 English Education students. The results of this study show that students generally have a positive perception of the use of English songs as a learning tool. A total of 75.66% of respondents agreed that songs can help improve listening skills, and 81.67% agreed that songs support vocabulary mastery. However, some respondents also reported challenges, such as fast lyrics and unfamiliar words, with a percentage of 76.29%. These findings suggest that intergrating English-language songs into the learning process can be an engaging and effective strategy to enhance students’ English language skills, particularly in the areas of listening and vocabulary.
