Language Development Center at Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto
offers language services such as training, translation, and testing, focusing on
English language enrichment. Currently, the system used by the Language
Development Center (LDC) is only accessible via a website at www.ldc.ump.ac.id.
Based on interviews, the LDC website has not yet provided an optimal user
experience, particularly for certain services. Therefore, a mobile application
version of the LDC is needed to support all the information on the website. In
developing this application, it is necessary to design the user interface (UI) and
user experience (UX), which will be used in the application development process.
The UI and UX design process uses the Design Thinking method, which involves
the stages of empathizing, defining, ideating, prototyping, and testing, with the
System Usability Scale (SUS) method employed in the testing phase. The design
thinking process and the subsequent SUS testing yielded a usability score of 62.8,
with the Adjective Rating categorized as Good, a Grade Scale rating of D, and an
Acceptability Range of Marginal. Based on these results, it can be concluded that
the UI/UX design was successfully carried out and has been accepted by users.
