Abstract

The function and purpose of education is to develop the ability and
character of the nation, this meaning has a national education goal to make
students knowledgeable and form good character owned by students. One of the
efforts that can be made by an educator in shaping the character of his students is
by running a market day activity program in the school environment. This activity
is expected to foster the social-emotional attitude of students in the market day
activity program. Market day or market day is an example of an integrated
application system in education in the field of entrepreneurship or
entrepreneurship by involving all students in the process of making products,
selling products, and product results. This study aims to analyze the strengthening
of character with entrepreneurship to strengthen students' social-emotional
through the Class IV market day program at SD Negeri 1 Sambeng kulon and
analyze the supporting factors and inhibiting factors of strengthening character
with entrepreneurship to strengthen students' social-emotional through the Class
IV market day program at SD Negeri 1 Sambeng kulon. This research method
uses a descriptive qualitative approach with a case study method. The informants
in this study were grade 4 students, accompanying teachers, and the principal of
SD Negeri 1 Sambeng Kulon. The implementation of the market day program in
this study went through three stages, namely: planning, implementation, and
evaluation of the market day program. The results showed that it provides real
experience regarding production, distribution and consumption activities,
increases learners' self-confidence and their leadership skills, develops good
social-emotional attitudes, helps develop learners' entrepreneurial and
interpersonal skills, stimulates learners' creativity and innovation and increases
parental involvement in entrepreneurship education at school.
