One important component of learning is using the right method. Traditional learning method are often less able to maintain interest in learning, especially with the tendency for students to lose focus and interest in the learning, material presented. This research is a type of inferential statistical research with a sampling technique carried out by means of random sampling, which is a sampling technique that provides equal opportunities for all elements (members) of the population to be selected as sample members and choose randomly.
Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, students' interest in learning at SMP N 02 Purbalingga in Islamic Religious Education subjects was significantly influenced by the application of the jigsaw method. Based on the results of the t value analysis, it is known that the t table value with a sample of 120, to determine t table df (n-2) = df (120-2)= 118 (0,179) and t count (7.769 > t table 0.179), can be concluded that there is a relationship/influence of the jigsaw method on students' interest in learning and the hypothesis results Ho is rejected and HI is accepted. This jigsaw learning method contributes to students' interest in learning Islamic Religious Education by 33.8%, while the remaining 66.2% is influenced by other variables outside the title of this research.
