EKK Online UMP is a website-based information system for recording
certificate data for each student. EKK Online UMP has an important role in
recording certificates from every student activity, both academic and non-academic
activities. Based on the results of the initial study conducted, 59 out of 100
respondents or 59% of UMP students felt uncomfortable with the interface of the
EKK Online UMP website so that the interface was redesigned using the Design
Thinking method with stages ranging from empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and
testing. The results of the redesign using the design thinking method that has been
carried out have a usability testing score of 67% and have positive feedback from
users. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the redesign carried out has
better results than the previous results which only had a score of 45%.
