This research aims to describe the metaphore and personification figure of speech,
and moral messages found in the lyrics of the Daun Jatuh band's "Resah Jadi
Luka" and "Antara Pagi dan Kau" songs. This was a qualitative descriptive study.
The data for this research included metaphore and personification figure of
speech, and their moral messages in the lyrics of "Resah Jadi Luka" and "Antara
Pagi dan Kau". The data collection method involved listening and note-taking,
followed by advanced techniques such as content analysis and observation.The
analysis presentation stage used informal presentation. From the analysis results,
metaphore and personification figure of speech, and moral messages were found
in the lyrics of the songs. The functions of using these figures of speech and the
true meaning intended by the songwriters were identified. In the lyrics of "Resah
Jadi Luka" and "Antara Pagi dan Kau" by Daun Jatuh, a total of 11 figures of
speech were found, including 8 metaphores and 3 personifications, which
generally serve to beautify the lyrics and bring to create a vivid atmosphere
portrayed in the songs. The research also identified moral messages in each verse
of the lyrics.
