Bumi Asri Sidasari Sidabowa subsidized housing is housing located in Sidasari
Sidabowa, Patikraja District, Banyumas Regency, Central Java with the center of
Purwokerto City. So it will cause transportation problems. Transportation itself is
the process of traveling or moving people or goods from one place to another. This
travel process can be done using private vehicles or public transportation. The aim
of this research is to determine the socio-economic characteristics of the Bumi Asri
Sidasari Sidabowa housing community. Knowing the travel characteristics of the
Bumi Asri Sidasari Sidabowa housing community. This survey was carried out by
filling out a questionnaire on Google Form. Analyzing data using descriptive
methods and the Slovin formula. The results of this research show that the socioeconomic
characteristics of the community in the Bumi Asri Sidasari Sidabowa
housing complex, on average, the majority of housing owners are 31-35 years old,
23 people or (42%). The employment rate as employees was found to be 47 people
or (81%) of the total respondents. Most of them have an educational background at
the high school/vocational school level with the highest total being 29 people or
(52%). The number of respondent family members each has 3 residents in 27
housing units. The highest income is in the range of IDR 2,000,000 – IDR 4,000,000
for 40 people or (71%). More subsidized housing users use motorbikes with a total
of 102 people or (91%). The characteristics of travel in the Bumi Asri Sidasari
Sidabowa Housing community can be concluded that as many as (79%) of the
housing users travel to work. The highest travel destination area is Banyumas
(89%). Private vehicles used by respondents were a total of 53 or (95%). The
highest travel time of 10 – 15 minutes was 26 respondents or (46%). Residential
residents who traveled were 22 people or (39%). And the highest number of
respondents who traveled a distance of 5 – 10 km was 29 people or (51%).
