Abstract

The current pace of technological development is rapidly advancing, particularly in aiding the operations of companies or institutions. The utilization of technology serves as a means to enhance performance quality and cope with the fast-paced global competition. This utilization is also applied in a transportation service company, PT. Qyta Trans, specifically to address issues related to manual ticket reservations. The manual method proves to be less effective, causing delays in the ticket booking process due to its time and labor-intensive nature. This leads to mismatches between passengers' preferences, errors in location points, miscommunication between administrators and drivers, and mistakes in data recapitulation of booking history and transactions. The solution to these issues involves creating an Android-based application for online ticket reservations. The development method employed is the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) with a waterfall model approach. This series of stages results in an Android-based application expected to resolve the aforementioned problems, guided by the success of functional testing. The test results serve as indicators and conclusions that the application has been successfully built and implemented to address the identified issues.
