Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organizational commitment, job characteristics, job satisfaction and work motivation. The sample selection in this study was carried out by census research. Based on the criteria, 124 respondents were sampled. Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square approach. The results of the study reveal that organizational commitment has a positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and job characteristics have a positive and significant effect on work motivation. While job characteristics do not affect job satisfaction. Work motivation can be an intervening variable on the effect of organizational commitment and job characteristics on job satisfaction.
