This study was conducted to figure out the Zoning System based on new student
admission and its correlation on students English learning motivation at junior
high school students as well. It was also aimed to know the students motivation in
English class learning. The study employed the questionnaire to obtain the
motivation and it was analyzed using descriptive statistic. The correlation
between them was obtained by SPSS. Research results reveal that (1) the students
motivation in learning English is influenced by Zoning system based on new
student admission.
This study was a qualitative study employing the descriptive approach, carried
out in SMP Negeri 1 Purwokerto, SMP Negeri 8 Purwokerto, and SMP Negeri 1
Purwokerto. The correspondence was the students of grade 7,8, and 9.
The data was collected through questionnaire. There were Zoning System of New
Student Admission and English Learning Motivation questionnaires. The data
were analyzed by means of descriptive method.
The result of the study shows that Zoning System of New Student
Admission influenced the English Learning Motivation since most of the students
chose strongly agree to see it according to what they build on minds and act
based on what they perceive.
