Abstract
Problem Solving Ability Good behavior will have an effective impact on his logical ability if the child has a problem. To stimulate children's problemsolving abilities, one of which can be done with games Unplugged coding. This study aims to determine whether Unplugged Coding has an effect on increasing problem solving skills in children aged 6-7 years. The method used in this research is a quantitative pre-experiment with one group design. The research
sample consisted of 21 children aged 6-7 years at BA Aisyiyah Pagentan.
The study was conducted for 5 weeks, the assessment was carried out using a pre-test and post-test to measure children's problem solving abilities. The results of data analysis showed an increase before and after treatment of 88.81% so it can be concluded that there was a significant increase in children's problem solving abilities after participating in unplugged coding activities. There was a significant increase in the ability to identify problems, formulate resolution strategies, and implement effective solutions. The implication of this research is the need to introduce programming concepts from an early age through interactive and fun methods. The development of a learning approach that involves Unplugged Coding can be an effective alternative in improving early childhood problemsolving
and cognitive abilities
