Roads are a land transportation infrastructure that is very important in
supporting the rate of economic growth and plays a major role in the progress
and development of a region. If the high traffic growth is not followed by
handling, especially on good and right roads, it is feared that it will cause
problems. Road infrastructure that is burdened by high and repeated traffic
volumes will cause a decrease in road quality. Jalan Pejagan Bumiayu is a
district road that is passed by many vehicles. This condition causes road damage.
This study aims to determine the condition index value of Jalan Pejagan Bumiayu
using the Asphalt Institute and SDI (Surface Distress Index) methods and to
determine the type of road condition handling from the two methods. The method
used is field research with primary data in the form of survey results on the type
and extent of road damage as well as secondary data from related agencies in the
form of road network maps and road characteristics. The results of the damage
analysis on Jalan Pejagan Bumiayu using the Asphalt Institute method obtained a
value of 98.59% with a rating of "Very Good" with the type of routine
maintenance handling. While the results of the damage analysis using the Surface
Distress Index (SDI) method obtained a value of 11.46 with a "Good" condition
with the type of routine maintenance handling. This means that the condition of
the Pejagan Bumiayu road is still in very good condition and the level of damage
is still low.
