Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effect of compensation, work environment, motivation
and work discipline on the performance of PT GS Battery Karawang employees. The
population used as the target of this study was all employees of PT GS Battery
Karawang totaling 109 respondents. This study used quantitative research methods,
nonprobability sampling techniques. The results of this study show that all variables,
namely: compensation, work environment, motivation and work discipline have a
positive and significant influence simultaneously on the performance of PT GS
Battery Karawang employees. While partially, it was found that for the partial test
the compensation variable had a positive and significant effect on employee
performance, the work environment variable had a positive and significant effect on
employee performance, the motivation variable had a positive and significant effect
on employee performance, and the work discipline variable had a positive and
significant effect on employee performance. The results of this study based on the F
test stated that compensation, work environment, motivation and work discipline
simultaneously affect the performance of employees of PT GS Battery Karawang.
Based on the t test obtained: (a) Compensation has a positive and significant effect
on employee performance. (b) Work environment has a positive and significant effect
on employee performance. (c) Motivation has a positive and significant effect on
employee performance. (d) Work Discipline has a positive and significant effect on
employee performance. Based on the adjusted R2 coefficient determinant test, it
shows that the influence of compensation, work environment, motivation and work
discipline on employee performance is 35.5% and the remaining 64.5% is influenced
by other factors not examined.
