Abstract
This research aimed to find out the pattern of marketing channel, margin, farmer share, and marketing efficiency of coin tempeh cracker in Bajing Kulon village, Kroya sub-district, Cilacap regency using case study method. Census method was used to collect 8 key informants of coin tempeh crackers producers and snowball sampling was used to collect samples of marketing agencies which resulted in 3 collectors, 6 wholesalers, and 15 retailers. The data were collected using interviews, observation, and documentation. The data were analyzed using descriptive analysis and quantitative data analysis of marketing margin, farmer share, and marketing efficiency.
From the results of this research, it could be concluded that the marketing of this tempeh cracker had four marketing channel patterns consisting of Channel I (producer, collectors, retailers, consumers), Channel II (producer, wholesalers, retailers, consumers), Channel III (producer, collectors, retailers, consumers), and Channel IV (producer, retailers, consumers). The value of marketing margin in channel I was IDR 15,000/kg with 66.66% farmer share and the value of marketing efficiency was 7.64%. In channel II, the value of the marketing margin was IDR 13,000/kg with 71.71% farmer share, and the value of marketing efficiency was 6.59%. The value of the marketing margin in channel III was IDR 15,000/kg with 66.66% farmer share and the efficiency value was 4.33%. In channel IV the value of the marketing margin was IDR10,000/kg with 77.77% farmer shares and the efficiency value was 3.31%. The most efficient channel was channel IV (producer, retailers, consumers) because its marketing margin was IDR10,000/kg, farmer share was 77.77%, and efficiency value was 3.31%.
