This research was entitled The Personality Structure of the Main Character in
Annastasia Andersons Gadis Pramugari Novel: A Study of Literary Psychology. This
study aimed to describe the personality structure of the main character in Annastasia
Anderson's Gadis Pramugari novel. The object of this research was the personality
structure of the main character in the novel. The research utilized the descriptive
qualitative method. It was carried out by describing the research data that had been
obtained and analyzing or providing a detailed explanation of the research.
Afterward, the personality structure of the main character in the novel could be
clearly described. This study used a literary psychology approach. Then, the data
were collected through reading and noting techniques. The result showed that the
personality structure of the main character in the novel, namely Gadis and Raka,
indicated some personality structures: (1) the personality structure of Id, which had
the characteristics of (a) violating religious norms, (b) being selfish, (c) being
stubborn. (2) personality structure of Ego which had the characteristics of (a) being
able to make decisions, (b) despairing, (c) being easily influenced. (3) the personality
structure of the Superego, which had the characteristics of (a) being aware of values
and (b) being able to control oneself.
