One of the abilities needed to face technological advances and the flow of globalization is the ability to think creatively. This research is a qualitative descriptive study which aims to describe the mathematical creative thinking ability of students of SMP Negeri 1 Bantarsari based on the dominance of the right brain and left brain. The sample was selected using purposive sampling method with the number of respondents taken as many as 6 students consisting of 3 students with right brain dominance and 3 students with left brain dominance. To see the validity of the data, the researcher used technical triangulation through written tests and interviews. The results of this study show that students with the dominance of the right brain have given more than one different answer, different solutions, and have provided solutions using their own language and thinking. While students with left brain dominance have given more than one answer and provided solutions in accordance with their own ideas and thoughts, but there are still some errors in the solutions given.
