Abstract

This study aimed to determine the improvement of students' mathematical learning outcomes about perimeter and area of the plane by using a direct learning model assisted by calculator. It was a Classroom Action Research (CAR), The study was conducted in 2 cycles. The study was conducted on 29 students of class IV SD UMP. The data were collected by using test and non-test techniques. The results showed that the students' mathematical learning outcomes improved in each cycle. It could be seen that in the first cycle, the mean score was 70.86 with a percentage of learning completeness of 72.41% and in cycle II, the mean score increased by 79.82 with a percentage of learning completeness of 87, 92%. The effective learning outcomes in the first cycle obtained the mean score of 1.93% and in the second cycle, it increased by 3.40%. The psychomotor learning outcomes obtained 2.35% in cycle I and increased by 3.43% in cycle II. Therefore, the indicators of this study were achieved. Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that there is an improvement in students' mathematical learning outcomes by using the direct learning model assisted by calculator.
