Abstract

Creativity is the manifestation of ideas generated by children spontaneously
during activities. School serves as a platform to cultivate children's creativity
through various activities, such as crayon rubbing. The issue addressed in this
research pertains to the suboptimal development of creativity in early
childhood. The objective of this study is to augment the creativity of young
children through crayon rubbing activities.This research adopts a field
research approach, as data collection takes place in the field. Data analysis is
conducted using qualitative data collection techniques, namely observation,
documentation, and interviews.The findings of this study reveal that crayon
rubbing activities can enhance the creativity of 4-5-year-old children in class
A2 at KB Aisyiyah Qurrota Ayun Randudongkal. The improvement in
creativity is evidenced by the percentage recapitulation, which initially stood
at 25% in the pre-cycle stage, increased to 45% in cycle 1, and further
elevated to 80% in cycle 2. Thus, the incorporation of finger painting
activities is recommended in early childhood education to foster creativity.
