One of the important part of successing learning English is students’ attitude
toward learning English. This study aimed at investigating the students’
enrichment programs language attitude toward learning English and finding
out their dominant attitude. The subject of this study is the students of English
enrichment program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto. The total
number of respondents is 71 students. The study employed a questionnaire
and semi stuctured interview. The data were collected from questionnaire and
semi-structured interview. The questionnaire result revealed most of the
students showed positive and neutral attitudes. The result also showed that the
students had both integrative and instrumental language attitude. However,
the integrative attitude was more dominant than the instrumental one. The
interview result showed that the students’ positive attitude may be caused by
their own intention in learning English.
