Abstract

The study aims to : 1) analyze whether Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model approach has an effect on students’ ability in creative thinking skill, 2) analyze wheter Creative Problem Solving (CPS) learning model approach has an effect on students’ ability in self confidence. The research design applies post-test only control design. The population of the study is all VIII grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Pekuncen. The sampling applied is cluster random sampling technique. The instruments utilized to collect the data are test of creative thinking skill and students' self-confident questionnaire. The study discovers that Creative Problem Solving learning affects on the students' creative thinking skill and self-confident. It is proven by the finding of creative thinking skill in t-test results of the post test data obtained Sig = 0.0175 (Sig < 0.05) then Ho is rejected. And Mann Whitney test on questionnaire of confident obtained Sig = 0,002 (Sig < 0.05) then Ho is rejected.
