The research is entitled The Cultural Forms of Cirebon Society in a Novel Entitled
Tarian Dua Wajah by S. Prasetyo Utomo, a Literary Anthropology study. The purpose
of this study is to examine and describe the forms of culture in the novel Tarian Dua
Face by S. Prasetyo Utomo. This research is a library research. The data in this study
are excerpts or texts containing cultural things in the novel. Furthermore, the source of
research data is the novel by literary anthropology approach. Descriptive analysis
method is used in this study. Reading and writing technique are used to collect the
data. Then data reduction, data presentation, and verification and conclusions are used
to analyze the data. The results obtained show three forms of cultures in the novel,
namely: (1) culture as an idea to maintain ancestral graves, the assumption of the
existence of people worship the tomb, and the norm of decency (2) culture as a
complex of activities of the pilgrims and the dancing of Cirebonese women (3) culture
as objects of human works including spears, keris, and swords, painting, gambang,
gendang, gamelan, and mask.
