This research entitled: “The Analysis of the entrepreneurs characteristic
and accounting information in support business development of micro, small
and medium enterprises (UMKM) in Majenang”. The aim of this research is:
1) to know the description about owner of UMKM enterprise in Majenang seen
from the aspects of education, business management training, business age,
business scale, and business capital, 2) to know the role of education, business
management training, business age, business scale, and business capital
toward business development on UMKM in Majenang. This research used
qualitative. The research object was the UMKM owner of food industrial
sector listed in Trade, Industry and Cooperative Department of Cilacap
Regency. The sampling method used purposive. Data analysis method used
interactive model of analysis.
The result of this research showed that the majority of the owner of
UMKM in Majenang were in low-educated but had attended the training about
business management. Most of them had run their business for more than 10
years. The asset were between less than Rp 10 million to more than Rp 50
million and most had the business capital Rp 10 million to Rp 50 million. At
first, most were micro business and now it developed into small business.
Business carried on UMKM in Majenang developing supported by business
management training, business age, business scale and business capital.
Meanwhine, aspect of education does not play an important role in supporting
the development of business.
