This research aimed to analyze the effect of return on assets, debt to equity
ratio, assets growth, cash ratio, and firm size to dividend payout ratio.
independent variable used in this research as follow return on assets, debt to
equity ratio, assets growth, cash ratio, and firm size. The population of this
research is BUMN companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) for the
period 2010-2013, 17 companies were selected based on specific criteria based
on the purpose of this research. This research used four years of research. The
method analysis of this research is multiple linear regression.
The result of this research showed that the simultant variable return on
assets, debt to equity ratio, assets growth, cash ratio, and firm size significantly
influence dividend payout ratio, the variable assets growth significantly influence
to negative direction toward dividend payout ratio, meanwhile debt to equity ratio
and cash ratio do not significantly influence dividend payout ratio. Thise five
variables simultaneously influence variable dividend payout ratio for 62%, while
the rest of 38% is explained by other variables that are not used in this research.
