This study entitled Value Education Character in a Dunia Kecil Novel
by Yoyon Indra Joni and Implementation Advice on Learning Literature in
Senior High School. This study aims to describe the character value education in
the Dunia Kecil novel and implementation advice as teaching materials, literature
in high school.
The research object is the character value education contained in the novel
Dunia Kecil works Yoyon Joni Indra. The data used is the text that contains the
character value education contained in the novel Dunia Kecil Yoyon Indra Joni
work. Data collection in this research by reading and taking notes. The obtained
data were analyzed using descriptive methods analysis with moral approach.
The results obtained from this study is that the novel Dunia Kecil works
Yoyon Indra Joni contains the value of character education. Educational value of
characters found in the novel include: (1) honest there 2 data, (2) there are 3
responsible for the data, (3) there are 6 disciplines data, (4) hard work there are 3
data; (5) confidence there 2 data, (6) logical thinking, critical, creative, and
innovative there are 5 data; (7) want to know there is one there; (8) love science
there are 2 data, (9) there were 2 nationalist data. Character education value the
most is the character value education discipline. The character value education in
the novel can be implemented in a Dunia Kecil learning in high school literature
classes XI Semester 1 through aspects reading with Competency Standards: 7.
Understanding the saga, Indonesian novel / novels in translation, and Basic
Competence: 7.2 Analyze elements intrinsic and extrinsic Indonesian novel/
translation. The model used is the STAD cooperative learning model.
