This study entitled Effect of Negative Modernity Against Religious Life in the novel Jangan Biarkan Surau Ini Roboh work Taufiqurrahman Surau Al-Azizy. This study aimed to describe the negative impact of modernity on religious life in the novel Never Let It Collapsed Surau Al-Azizy Taufiqurrahman work and relationships describe the negative effects of modernity in the novel with real people's lives.
The method used in this research is descriptive method of analysis. Descriptive method of analysis, researchers uncover the facts seem to give a description followed by the analysis in the form of interpretation to provide an understanding of taste. While the approach is sociological approach to literature. Literary sociology approach used in this study because it reveals relationships influence of modernity in the novel with real people's lives.
The results obtained from this study is that novel Jangan Biarkan Surau Ini Roboh work Taufiqurrahman Surau Al-Azizy contain aspects that affect kehidupam religious modernity. Aspects of modernity found in the novel include: (1) Decadence, which take the form of: (a) a fight between youth, (b) sex-free (free-sex), (c) discrimination, (d) multiple partners and (2) Materialism, which take the form of: (a) seize the rights of others, (b) drug dealers. Results of this study are still found in public life today. Relationship is evidenced by the presence of adolescent behaviors that are inconsistent with religious teachings, where such attitudes showed the influence of modernity in everyday life. Weak faith adds to the increasingly widespread influence of modernity in today's society. In addition, the lack of knowledge about the religion and the lack of public awareness of the influence of modernity increasingly widespread in modern life as it is today.
