Abstract

This research aimed at finding out how well students master personal pronoun and
the error that made This research used descriptive method and was done in SMP
N 5 Purbalingga. The total sample of this research was 55 students, and they were
the first grade students. In collecting the data, the reseacher used objective
multiple choice test that consisted of some items related to personal pronoun.
After the data was analyzed, the mean of st
udents‟ mastery were 48.2. So, it can
be concluded that students‟ mastery in personal pronoun were in fair category. As
to the error, 44% students tended to ignore the rule restriction and 56% to have
false concept hypothesized
