This research is aimed to observe the new representation of modern vampire
based on the representation theory by Stuart Hall which appear in Hollywood
movie Twilight First Saga (TFS). This research belongs to qualitative study by
applying reflective representation approach.
The data of this research are screenshots that are taken from scenes in TFS
movie. The screenshots taken are divided into five classification and will be
analyzed by applying the theory of representation by Stuart Hall.
From the analysis, the writer found the new representation of modern vampire
are shown in their appearance, habit and behaviour, living place, prey, stength
and weakness. Each classification shows the new representation of modern
vampire compared to that classical vampire in terms of the fifth classification.
