Ideally, the world of education should be a role model for society. However, due to the influence of secularism that has spread among teenagers, there has been a decline in their manners and norms. Therefore, in the school educational environment, activities need to be carried out that aim to create an atmosphere that can shape students' character for the better, one of which is through the cultivation of spiritual intelligence. This study is a qualitative research conducted at SMP Boarding School Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Purwokerto. Data collection includes observation, interviews, and documentation.
This research is qualitative research. It aims to describe and analyze the development of spiritual intelligence, PAI (Islamic Education) learning strategies, and the supporting and inhibiting factors of spiritual intelligence. The research methods are interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis techniques used include data reduction, data presentation, temporary conclusion drawing, verification, and final conclusion.
The results of the study show the development of spiritual intelligence at Al-Irsyad Al-Islamiyyah Boarding School in Purwokerto as follows: planned programs, teacher supervision, and religious value guidance. School and teacher support are crucial, while emotional instability and lack of parental supervision are obstacles.
