Abstract
E-Learning of illustrated story-based folklore for junior high school
students is still very lacking. Starting from this phenomenon, this study aims to:
(1) find out the needs of E-Learning teaching materials in accordance with the
needs of students and teachers, (2) compile and develop prototypes of illustrated
story-based folklore E-Learning teaching materials according to the needs of
students and teachers, (3) know the validation results of E-Learning teaching
materials compiled and developed, and (4) know the results of testing prototypes
of teaching materials E-Learning folklore based on illustrated stories compiled
and developed. This research uses research methods of development research
(R&D). This research uses six stages in development, namely: (1) analysis of
potential and predetermined problems, (2) collection of research data, (3) making
designs and products, (4) validation of products that have been made, (5) revisions
of products that have been made, and (6) testing of products. The results of this
study are: (1) the needs of E-Learning teaching materials according to students
and teachers cover four aspects, including (a) aspects of understanding and needs
for teaching materials, (b) aspects of needs for materials, (c) aspects of physical
needs of teaching materials, and (d) aspects of presentation of E-Learning
teaching materials prepared. (2) folklore products or teaching materials made are
in the form of E-Learning that have been developed based on the needs of
students and teachers, (3) The results of validation carried out on the prototype of
E-Learning teaching materials developed, are included in the very good category.
This is based on assessments conducted by expert validators 1 and 2 with an
average score of 97.9 and assessments conducted by practitioner validators with
an average score of 96.8. (4) The results of the prototype test tested in two schools
showed an increase in completeness scores of up to 71% (from an average
completeness of 17% to 88%) in the experimental group (SMPN 1 Tasikmalaya).
The results of this trial provide an illustration that the illustrated story-based
folklore E-Learning teaching materials created and developed are effectively used
in learning.
