Education is a crucial factor influencing the development sector in every country. Junior High School, abbreviated in Indonesian as SMP, represents a formal educational institution providing general education. The development method employed for this project is the waterfall model. The Geographic Information System (GIS) for SMP Admission Zoning in Purbalingga Regency has been successfully developed and can be accessed via a web application named “giszonasi”. This system aids the local Department of Education and Culture in Purbalingga Regency by reviewing the distances between student’s homes and their designated schools. It also provides valuable information to the general public, particularly the residents of Purbalingga Regency. The following recommendations are proposed : 1. The system could be further developed into a mobile version and expanded to a broader scope, such as at the provincial level. 2. Future research could extend this system to encompass senior high school (SMA) or other equivalent public school. 3. The system could be enhanced to display which villages and districts located within the admission zoning radius of the selected public junior high schools.
