Abstract

The aim of this research was to find out English teachers’ perception of the
use of real object media in EFL classroom. This research employed a survey method
by using a descriptive quantitative approach. The population of this research was
21 English teachers at middle and high school in Sidareja sub-district. The sample
was 15 English teachers taken by random sampling technique. The researcher used
a close-ended questionnaire as a research instrument. Data obtained from the
questionnaire were processed quantitatively. The results of this research show that
the tendency or level of agreement of English teachers with the questionnaire is
mostly in the average category with a total of seven respondents. The conclusion is
that English teachers perceive that real object media can serve as a supplement in
teaching and learning activities in the EFL classroom, so they believe that they can
still teach well even without using real object media.
