The singing method is part of an educational tool that is relevant to the
development and characteristics of the material and students. This includes
attention to the accuracy of the method, teaching materials, students'
psychological conditions, and their age. This research aims to determine the
application and obstacles of the singing method in forming learning motivation
and the ability to memorize Asmaul Husna. To overcome this problem, the
singing method is used.
This research method uses a qualitative approach and a qualitative
descriptive research type. involving one teacher, a research site at MI
Muhammadiyah Kedungjampang with research subjects on the application of
singing methods in forming learning motivation and memorization abilities in
class IV students at MI Muhammadiyah Kedungjampang. Data was collected
through observation, interviews and documentation.
The results of the research show that the application of the singing
method in forming learning motivation and the ability to memorize Asmaul Husna
is carried out using the following steps: (1) Determine the song according to the
theme, (2) Use a song tone that is easy for students to understand, (3) Introduce
songs to students, (4) Sing songs together with appropriate body movements. This
research shows that the four ways of applying the singing method in forming
learning motivation and the ability to memorize Asmaul Husna in MI students can
be used as an alternative in the learning process.
