Today, many schools have established Qur'an memorization programs. In
fact, the Qur'an memorization program is used as a flagship program. Before
interacting with other sciences, it is recommended to first interact with the
Qur'an. If we interact with the Qur'an, it can make our hearts watered and feel
calm. But if we don't interact with the Qur'an, it will make our hearts arid. Where
if it is filled with knowledge, it will be difficult to absorb. The purpose of this
study is to find out the strategy of the Qur'an memorization program for students
at SMA Muhammadiyah 1 Purbalingga.
This research is a type of field research conducted with data collection
techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Then the data
analysis used primary data from the results of interviews about the strategies
used in the Qur'an memorization program. The data that has been collected will
be analyzed qualitatively using a descriptive method, namely explaining the data
that has been obtained and connecting it with each other in order to reach a
general conclusion.
This study shows that the strategy used in the Qur'an memorization program
is to divide the Qur'an memorization program into 3 classes and the division of
implementation time and accompanying teachers for each class. In addition,
there is also a reward and punishment strategy, where students who succeed in
memorizing according to the target will be tested for memorization and receive
certificates and scholarships. Then if students are late for the Qur'an
memorization program, they will be punished for reading the Qur'an in front of
their friends. Meanwhile, there is no award for memorization classes for
teachers. Then if the teacher does not deposit his memorization at the meeting,
then the teacher is given a penalty, namely depositing the memorization at the
next meeting along with the deposit at the previous meeting.
