Abstract

This study aims to develop an e-booklet based on the Early Grade Mathematics
Assessment (EGMA) for use in numeracy assessments during Phase A in
elementary schools. The primary objectives of this research are: (1) to describe the
stages of developing an EGMA-based e-booklet for numeracy assessment, (2) to
assess the feasibility of the e-booklet in the context of its use in elementary schools,
and (3) to analyze the effectiveness and practicality of the EGMA-based e-booklet
as a numeracy assessment tool. The research method employed in this study is the
ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design,
Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. In the analysis stage, the needs and
characteristics of numeracy assessments for Phase A were thoroughly identified.
Subsequently, the design and development stages involved the creation of an
interactive and engaging e-booklet aligned with the principles of EGMA. The
implementation stage included testing the e-booklet in several elementary schools
to measure user responses and the tool's effectiveness in numeracy assessments.
The results of the study indicate that the EGMA-based e-booklet is feasible,
effective, and practical for use as a numeracy assessment tool, providing a practical
and beneficial learning experience for both students and teachers. These findings
are expected to contribute positively to the improvement of numeracy assessment
quality in elementary education in Indonesia.
