Abstract
This research aims to critically analyze the effectiveness of the School Literacy
Movement (GLS) in improving student learning outcomes. Report card data is
used as a basis for qualitative analysis to identify the root of the problem in order
to provide appropriate activity planning so as to produce changes in the school's
literacy culture and student grades after implementing GLS. In addition, in-depth
interviews with teachers, students and school principals were conducted to explore
their perceptions and experiences regarding the implementation of GLS. From this
research data emerged that 1) Schools utilize educational report cards, one of
which is in planning school literacy programs. 2) Implementation of the school
literacy movement through the stages of familiarization, development and
integration in learning has an impact on student learning outcomes. 3) Student
learning outcomes in Indonesian language subjects can improve if the
implementation of the school literacy movement goes well. It is hoped that the
results of this research will provide a comprehensive understanding of the
importance of school literacy movements based on educational report card data
implemented consistently in improving student learning outcomes.
