Abstract

The issue of feminism in Indonesia is increasingly being discussed in various circles. This is because the speed of progress in science and technology makes the topic of gender equality interesting to study. Modernist Islamic thinkers also included the topic of Moeslim feminism as a study discourse of contemporary Islamic science. In this case, Islamic education plays a role as a channel for gender equality for Moeslim communities in Indonesia through the discourse of Moeslim feminism. The aim of the research is to examine the dynamics of Moeslim feminist discourse and analyze its relevance in Islamic education in Indonesia.
This research is a type of library research with documentary data collection techniques. Data analysis uses primary and secondary data related to Moeslim feminism and Islamic education in Indonesia, where the data collected will be analyzing qualitatively using descriptive methods, that is describing a symptom, event, actual incident objectively. The data analysis technique used is qualitative content analysis technique which is an in-depth discussion of information in printed text (writing and discourse) objectively and systematically. Look for relationships with each other to get general conclusions
This research shows the dynamics of the development of Moeslim feminism in Indonesia from pre-colonial term (archipelago) to the reform period. It has been a long journey, the moeslim women's movement has struggled to achieve gender equality rights on various fronts. The relevance of the dynamics of Muslim feminism for Islamic education in Indonesia produces several things; Islamic family resilience education, expanding opportunities for women to gain knowledge at various levels of education, replace the curriculum system into a gender perspective in Islamic education curriculum, improving the quality of teacher or religious educators, and offering interpretations of the Al Quran and Hadis using hermeneutic methods that involve experience and women's perspective.
