Abstract
Memrise, a technological innovation designed to enhance foreign language acquisition, was evaluated in this study to determine its impact on vocabulary and listening skills among English as a Foreign Language (EFL) students. This research seeks to compare the effectiveness of traditional learning methods with the Memrise platform and to explore students' experiences using Memrise for vocabulary and listening development. A quasi-experimental design was employed, involving two phases of data collection. The study included 60 eighth-grade students divided into an experimental group using Memrise and a control group using traditional methods. Statistical analysis using t-tests revealed significant improvements in both vocabulary and listening skills for the experimental group (p < 0.05). Consequently, the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was supported, and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. The findings indicate that Memrise significantly enhances students' vocabulary recognition and listening abilities. Memrise proves to be an engaging and effective tool for increasing students' motivation and proficiency in these language skills through its interactive exercises.
