This study aims to investigate whether the activity of creating shapes from
geometric pieces can enhance children's creativity. The research subjects were 13
children from Group B at KB Al Amanah Cibuyur Warungpring Pemalang in the
second semester of the academic year 2023/2024. This study adopts a classroom
action research design. Data collection techniques employed include observation,
interviews, and documentation. The data were analyzed using qualitative
descriptive analysis. The results of the study indicate that the activity of creating
shapes from geometric pieces can enhance children's creativity. This enhancement
is evident from the increase in the percentage of students, initially only 15% (two
children), demonstrating creativity abilities in the category developing as expected
(BSH), to 57% (seven children) achieving the category developing as expected
(BSH) and 36% (four children) showing excellent development (BSB). The findings
suggest that the activity of creating shapes from geometric pieces is an effective
method for fostering creativity in early childhood.
