This research aims to describe the moral values embodied by the main character in
the novel "Imperfect" written by Meira Anastasia. The research methodology
employed is qualitative descriptive, utilizing data such as words, expressions,
sentences or phrases, and quotations found within the novel containing moral
values. The primary data source for this research is the novel "Imperfect" by Meira
Anastasia. Data collection techniques include reading and note-taking. The
findings of this research indicate that moral values related to the individual's
relationship with oneself emerge as the dominant theme. This is evidenced by the
efforts of the main character, Meira, as portrayed through quotations that depict
her continuous endeavor to fulfill her aspirations and desires, thus overcoming
feelings of self-doubt or insecurity about her body shape. Consequently, it can be
concluded that this research is expected to provide motivation and encouragement
to readers experiencing issues, particularly those related to appearance and
physical form. Additionally, the researcher hopes to offer support to readers who
may still lack confidence due to perceived imperfections.
