Abstract

This classroom Action Research comprised two cycles, each consisting of tree
sessions. Initiall, the proficiency in reading Hijaiyah letters at Aisyiyah Berkoh
Playgroup was low. Before the research, initial observation data revealed that out
12 children, 4 (33%) were categorized as Not Developing , 6 (50%) as Beginning
to Develop, and 2 (17%) as Developing as Expected. Following the implementation
of learning activities using card media in Cycle I and Cycle II, there was a
noticeable enhancement in yhe ability to read Hijaiyah letters. Initially, only 2
chlidren (17%) completed the study, while in Cycle I 5 children (42%) completed
it, and in Cycle II, 9 children (75%) completed it. These findings suggest that the
proficiency in reading Hijaiyah letters at Aisyiyah Berkoh Playgroup can be
enhanced through card media, as evidenced by the progession observed across the
initial study, Cycle I, Cycle II.
