Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of self efficacy and training on
employee performance and to determine whether job satisfaction is able to mediate
self efficacy and training on employee performance in employees of PT Kereta Api
Indonesia (Persero) Daop V Purwokerto. The population in this study were all
employees of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daop V Purwokerto. The sample
used in this study were 100 of 350 employees using the accidental sampling technique.
For statistical tests and data processing is carried out using the Partial Least Square
(SmartPLS) method. The research results show that: 1) self efficacy has a positive
and not significant effect on job satisfaction, 2) training has a positive and significant
effect on job satisfaction, 3) self efficacy has a positive and significant effect on
employee performance, 4) training has a positive and significant effect on employee
performance, 5) Job satisfaction has a negatif and not significant effect on employee
performance, 6) Self efficacy has a negatif and not significant effect on employee
performance through job satisfaction, 7) training has a negatif and not significant
effect on employee performance through job satisfaction. The test results of the
coefficient of determination (R2) which show that the effect of self efficacy, training,
job satisfaction on employee performance is 67.6%.
