This study aimed to describe the rhetorical language styles found in the
“Melihat Sumba” poetry anthology by Intan Permata Sari. The research design
used in this study was descriptive qualitative. The data in this study consist of
quotations in the form of word or sentences that contain rhetorical language
styles. The data source used the “Melihat Sumba” poetry anthology book by Intan
Permata Sari. The stylistic approach was employed in this study. The data ware
collected using reading and note-taking. This study’s results showed: (1)
Aliteration (6 poetry quotations), (2) Assonance (12 poetry quotations), (3)
Anastrophy (2 poetry quotations), (4) Asydenton (8 poetry quotations), (5)
Polysidenton (2 poetry quotations), (6) Litotes (1 poetry quotations), (7)
Hyperbole (2 poetry quotations), (8) Paradox (5 poetry quotations).
