Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of compensation,
organizational commitment, job satisfaction and employee retention. The
selection of the sample in this study was carried out by simple random sampling.
Data analysis using Structural Equation Modeling Partial Least Square
approach. The results of the study reveal that: 1) compensation has a positive and
significant effect on employee retention, 2) organizational commitment has a
positive and significant effect on employee retention, 3) compensation has no
positive and significant effect on job satisfaction, 4) organizational commitment
has no positive and no effect significant effect on employee retention, 5) job
satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on employee retention, 6) job
satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of compensation on employee retention,
7) job satisfaction is able to mediate the effect of organizational commitment on
employee retention. The results of the coefficient test (R2) indicate that the effect
of compensation, organizational commitment, job satisfaction on employee
retention is 91.0%.
