This research was carried out at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Patikraja Banyumas. This study aims to describe the formation of the character of islamic leaders in class VI students through the leadership journey program. The background of this research is to describe the way of character building in grade VI students. Based on observations made in class VI, all students have learned about character so that they have a high enthusiasm and encouragement to be able to apply in running the leadeship journey program and in everyday life. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. The validity of the data using tringulation. Data collection techniques use observation, interviews, and documentation studies. Data validation testing is performed using source tringulation and tringulation techniques. The results showed that the Leadership Journey program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Patikraja, Banyumas has been successful. The implementation of character building is carried out by teachers in collaboration with parents in supervision and providing learning encouragement in the form of delivering positive sentences, independence, encouragement to be able to communicate with others properly and politely. With Leadership Journey program, children's characters are increasingly formed into a person who is polite, flexible, courageous, disciplined, and ready to face challenges. This was marked by the success of class VI MI Muhammadiyah Patikraja students in making a leadership trip to Yogyakarta. The driving factor in character building through the leadership journey is marked by the support of parents and teachers who participate in providing encouragement. The inhibiting factor is in the form of a long trip and having many activities carried out in a day makes students feel very tired
