This study's purpose is to describe and explain (1) the novel structure, (2) social conflict, (3) the value of character education in the novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika, and (4) its relevance as a reference in literature teaching materials in high school. This study uses a qualitative descriptive research method. The data in this study are in the form of words, paragraphs, and sentences in the novel that show the value of character education. The data source of this research is the Novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika. The data collection technique of this research is observation, reading, listening, and taking notes. The data validity used in this study is in the form of theoretical and data triangulation. The results of this study describe (1) the structure of the novel's builder, namely the theme, the facts of the story, and the means of the story; (2) social conflicts, including the events of 9/11, Islamophobia, family divisions and the dark side of the media world; (3) the value of character education found there are 16 values of character education, namely religious attitudes, honesty, tolerance, discipline, hard work, creative, independent, democratic, curiosity, respect for achievement, friendly/communicative, peace-loving, fond of reading, caring environment, social care, and responsibility; and (4) novel Bulan Terbelah di Langit Amerika is appropriate and relevant to be used as literature teaching material in class XI SMA, such as Basic Competency 3.11 analyzing messages from a fiction book read and Basic Competency 4.11 compiling a review of messages from a fiction book read.
