Abstract
The year 2020 is an alarming year experienced by all countries in the world, due to the emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic. The new disease, the Covid-19 virus, is a disease that spreads quickly and has a high mortality rate, so the government provides a policy to implement distance learning. Distance learning reaps pros and cons among the community, including in terms of the effectiveness of distance learning it is not as effective as face-to-face learning. This condition will affect student learning outcomes, not a few students whose development has decreased drastically, due to limitations in understanding the material presented by the teacher. In this condition, teachers need to arrange learning strategies and innovations as a way to increase the effectiveness of learning, one of which is by using a constructivism approach.
This study aims to describe the constructivist approach in learning Fiqh for class X material Thaharah during the Covid-19 pandemic. This research uses descriptive qualitative research method with the type of case study research. The subjects of this research include students of class X, and teachers of Fiqh subjects. Data collection techniques using observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that: (1) The emergence of the Covid-19 pandemic has had a major impact on education, so learning is carried out online. To carry out online learning requires a new strategy in learning, the constructivism approach is a learning method applied at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Ajibarang, with the aim of developing students' knowledge by thinking creatively in their inventions. During the Covid-19 pandemic, namely: online monitoring-based evaluation, question-answer or discussion-based evaluation, practice-based evaluation.
